Process
In this project we were asked to force a connection between animals and humans by creating a character based off of an animal doing human things. This project was right up my alley and I knew that I wanted to take the project in either a humorous or provocative direction.
Research & Sketches
Research for this project was mostly just exploring different characters, compositions, and human things and activities that I could depict my character doing through the use of thumbnails. Out of the thumbnails, I settled on three different concepts that I thought would be the most fun to make.

This is the final iteration of this project completed specifically for this portfolio class. I submitted this project for one of my pieces in my junior portfolio class. I was critiqued on some elements of the drawing, mostly the way that the light source shines. To fix it I drew over a picture of the drawing in Adobe Fresco because I didn’t want to damage the initial integrity of the piece, I also still loved the way that it turned out the first time.
